Floor-Loaded Freight is freight that is stacked from floor to ceiling without the use of a pallet. This can be freight that does not fit within a box or is too awkward to secure to a pallet. However, it can also be a full truckload of boxed items that are all going to a single destination for unloading.
Floor loading is geared toward cost savings and smaller freight, but palletized shipping is better for speed and efficiency. However if there are insufficient pallets or a lack of needed equipment to move them, floor-loading freight becomes necessary.
